ABSTRACT: A recent finding of a mantis on the Greek island of Crete is reported and discussed. Additional information on the distribution and similarity of Hierodula transcaucasica Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878 and Sphodromantis viridis (Forskål, 1775) is given.
